Matagorda Bay RV Park

The beautiful, brand-new Matagorda Bay RV Park is located at the mouth of the Colorado River on Matagorda Island near Matagorda, Texas.  It is located in the Matagorda Bay Nature Park, a 1,600-acre park and preserve.  In addition to the campground, the park has a one-of-a-kind wetlands and nature preserve, offering some of the best bird and nature watching in the world.  You can find a slide show of Matagorda Bay wildlife here (most photos courtesy James Arnold)

The park has about two miles of Gulf of Mexico and river frontage and hundreds of acres of coastal marshes and dunes.
